13/12/2016

Joined on a trip to Donut Heaven on Sunday with some heavy donut addicts to a pop-up donut store called Fryd (Oslo’s original donuts). The lines were long and the people in it scared the donuts will run out before their turn, and I was there curiously wondering as per usual… 562 donuts were sold off in an hour, there was also a limit to the amount of donuts each person could buy to ensure there was enough to go round… talk…

The Sushi here was delicious, ambience resplendent and service great! We went to the Canary Wharf one in London after a long day out and it was a perfect end to our day. Could be a bit pricey depending on your budget. Good place for a sushi night out though. I loved the words on the t-shirts worn by the staff. We went for the Mixed Emotion Set @ £21, Crispy Ebi Roll (8pcs) @ £8.50, The California Roll (8pcs)…

Finally cooked a Butternut Squash. This beauty is heart friendly, a rich source of fibre, potassium, low in fat and be eaten as a fruit or vegetable. Head it is a good substitute for irish potatoes, yams and other carbohydrate rich tubers. So it had been on my mind to give it a try. Butternut Squash is almost impossible for me to buy in Nigeria. Not because it isn’t available at the supermarkets, but the price is just ridiculous for me…

IMG_4415

Honestly this has become my quickie for when I am starving and need a fix!…It takes less that 30mins to whip up and is healthy..What more could a  girl ask for? What you need: An Avocado or 2? As you prefer. Shrimps or Prawns. I usually have 150g and prefer using prawns instead shrimps. Method: Boil Prawns in hot water and season how you like. I tend to add salt, black pepper and some chilli. Leave to boil for 15-20…

Found some pictures from one time we stayed on the East End of London and thought to share parts of our experience… So In the summer of 2013 we booked a room for a week on AirBnB  around the Whitechapel/Shoreditch area. When we arrived we were surprised at the how multicultural the area was. We had read about the area, but the articles we read did not do it justice. After settling down we decided to take a walk to get familiar…
