The weather last Saturday was perfect and in Norway that almost always calls for a hike or as they say ‘å gå på tur’ I went on my first hike adventure since moving up here and it was fun. Mostly because we got lost in the forest…here is a little story of how it went…Norwegians are very ‘out-doorsey’ – I have heard this many times before and after I moved and it is certainly no cliché. As a city girl… ‘my…

Spent my weekend on a group cabin trip to the mountains…Specifically Monsetertoppen in Hafjell… The nature up there was breathtaking. Freezing temperatures but beautiful snow capped views and a pleasant group made it all worth it… Did not attempt skiing or snow boarding though…I wasn’t reaaaaddyyyy (financially too, haha), went for short hikes with plans in my head for snowboarding the next time I go up there! Going on cabin trips to the mountains also known as ‘Hyttetur’ in norwegian is a…

Joined on a trip to Donut Heaven on Sunday with some heavy donut addicts to a pop-up donut store called Fryd (Oslo’s original donuts). The lines were long and the people in it scared the donuts will run out before their turn, and I was there curiously wondering as per usual… 562 donuts were sold off in an hour, there was also a limit to the amount of donuts each person could buy to ensure there was enough to go round… talk…

Roaming Around: British Museum

The British Museum is too big to see in a day. I’lld probably recommend a full week to go through the entire building. I still don’t think you will have had a proper proper look in the end… 😀 There was just too much stuff in there! Tip: you have to set out in the morning as they close 5pm sharp…or was it 4…We breezed through the Egyptian, Greek and African sections, saw the famous Nigerian Ibeji Twins and Cleopatra’s…

Went on a weekend trip with some family to Idanre. Idanre is an ancient town located in Ondo State in the South west of Nigeria. My family originally comes from there.Idanre is surrounded by hills and its people used to live up in the hills for over 100 years. Their town was fortified on the hills during wars and they lived there until they migrated down to the valleys after the death of a king. Up on the hills you…

Coldplay is one of the greatest bands ever! I am a conscious music lover….and their music does it for me…Seeing them live though is an experience on a whole other level. Magical! I called that night belting out my favourite Cold Play song ever; Fix You with the whole stadium lit up nothing but Magic! Before that night every time I listened to their music I dreamt about hearing it and seeing them perform it live! I am overjoyed that it…

Fortnum & Mason ‘s Stem Ginger Picaddilly Biscuits… tried them for the first time courtesy my big cousin…Got hooked and got my sisters hooked on it even more. So last week my sister asked me to get some for her and I decided to go to their actual store at 181 Piccadilly. Prior to that day I had only bought them at the airport. The store is one of the prettiest shops I have been to in my life! I went in…
